Innovation Norway's slogan is Powered by Nature, such is the grandeur of this country's spectacular scenery. It's s country to which the Gravity team have found themselves continually drawn for more than 20 years.

What we do.

Back in 1992, not long after Dan Kirkby first represented Norwegian airline Braathens in the UK, Stan Abbott escorted a group of Members of the then Outdoor Writers' Guild on media trip to the Norwegian Arctic territory of Svalbard. However, it was more than two years later, on another media visit to this remarkable landscape, that Stan and Dan met for the first time, laying the foundations for one of the most successful duos ever seen in destination PR.

After Braathens was eventually swallowed up by SAS, Dan went on to work with the new low-cost carrier, norwegian.no, while Stan, for his part, worked with a number of Norwegian city destinations, including Stavanger, Bergen and Tromsø, having also enjoyed a long-standing realtionship with domestic carrier Widerøe, dating back to his days at Gill Airways. He has helped Widerøe to promote its innovative Explore Norway "rover" ticket, that enables value-for-money travel among the airline's 40-plus domestic destinations.

Stan and Dan together worked with Norwegian colleagues to launch a travel venture, Big Norway, while Gravity's work for Eastern Airways now involves working in partnership with offshore industry and tourism colleagues in Norway's oil capital, Stavanger.
